ATEX tests sector

The ATEX sector provides regulatory support and perform laboratory tests in accordance with the harmonized standards for the Directive 2014/34 / EU of the series EN 60079 and EN 80079. It also carries out tests according to the IEC 60079 series of standards for the scheme IECEx The chamber has an internal volume of about 4 m3 and can accommodate devices with dimensions up to 1000 x 1000 x 2000 mm with the possibility of powering the equipment under test with a voltage up to 800 V in three-phase and a maximum current of 100 A. The gas control and mixing system has been designed to create standard mixtures with oxygen and hydrogen, acetylene, ethylene, propane or methane. The accuracy of the mixtures is assured by comparing sample mixtures with the use of a gas chromatograph.
