The EMC sector is able to provide regulatory support, develop test plans (Qualification Test Plan) and perform laboratory tests for numerous categories of equipment in compliance with Directive 2014/30 / EU (ex 2004/108 / EC), product, generic and basic EMC.

The INTEK staff actively participates in the technical committees of the CEI in the EMC sector and can therefore provide indications on regulatory developments and help the customer in choosing the most suitable product standards to apply to their product.

The instrumental equipment of INTEK also allows testing safety components (SIL).

The laboratory has a fully anechoic room (FAR) built by SIDT for 3 m measurements and a shielded room built by Siemens + Matsushita for emission measurements of conducted electromagnetic interference and power disturbances. The anechoic room is also equipped with a suction system for exhaust gas for testing equipment with a combustion engine; whereas the screen room has an internal temperature control system for tests on air conditioners. Find out how INTEK can help you verify the proper functioning of your electronic and electromechanical devices with Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing (EMC) to rule out harmful electromagnetic interference.

ElettroMagnetic Fields measurements

Under the LVD Low Voltage Directive (2014/35 / EU – Annex I) and the RED radio equipment directive (2014/53 / EU – Article 3.1a) the equipment must be evaluated with regard to the risk of exposure to electromagnetic fields.
INTEK is able to assist you in the evaluation of product conformity by applying the main harmonized standards.

RADIO Sector

The Laboratory performs electromagnetic compatibility tests on radio equipment or combined devices (non-radio products that integrate / incorporate radio parts) essential to meeting the 3.1b requirement of the RED directive 2014/53 / EU and relatively pre-compliance measures effective and efficient use of the spectrum (Article 3.2).
The main rules in which the laboratory operates are as follows:
