The automotive industry is today one of the most complex, regulated, and innovative sectors in today’s technology landscape. From e-mobility to ADAS systems and connected vehicles, the quality and robustness of components are essential to ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

INTEK S.p.A., an independent testing and measurement laboratory founded in 1994 and headquartered in Rezzato (BS), supports manufacturers, system integrators, and Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers with a comprehensive ecosystem of testing for electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. Thanks to ACCREDIA (No. 00855) accreditation and advanced infrastructure—including anechoic chambers, shock and vibration systems, and climatic chambers—we guarantee reliable results and specialized regulatory support throughout the entire vehicle component supply chain.
The evolution of the automobile demands increasingly intelligent, miniaturized, and durable components. Any electronic system must demonstrate high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), resistance to extreme environmental conditions, and mechanical reliability throughout the vehicle’s entire lifecycle. INTEK offers an integrated approach that guides the customer from the definition of the test plan (Qualification Test Plan) through final product qualification.
Our tests are applied to a wide range of critical subsystems, including:

The laboratory operates in compliance with the main European directives and international technical standards of the sector:

The evolution of modern mobility, driven by electrification and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), demands increasingly rigorous testing protocols for every single component. At INTEK laboratories, regulatory theory is transformed into metrological precision: we analyze the behavior of control units and on-board sensors to ensure their full functionality in every operating scenario.
INTEK possesses well-established vertical expertise in the automotive sector, offering comprehensive test protocols for 12V and 24V components. The laboratory is equipped to evaluate the immunity of electrical and electronic components to radio-frequency electromagnetic fields, operating in strict compliance with ISO 11452 standards. To ensure maximum analytical accuracy, methodologies such as strip-line testing, antenna-based testing, and Bulk Current Injection (BCI) are used.
The analysis of electrical robustness extends to verifying the components’ response to transient overvoltages typical of on-board systems. In this context, INTEK performs “Load Dump” testing in accordance with the international standard ISO 16750-2. Thanks to recognition from various Ministries of Transport, the laboratory is an accredited partner for UN/ECE R10 type approvals, ensuring rigorous monitoring of switching transients and a detailed analysis of conducted and radiated emissions in accordance with the most stringent manufacturer standards.

In addition to electromagnetic testing, INTEK provides a comprehensive suite of tests to simulate component use under harsh operating conditions:
Thanks to the continuous upgrading of its technological infrastructure, INTEK is now also able to offer the Arizona Dust test for resistance to fine dust..
Yes, INTEK is equipped to perform tests required by the manufacturer specifications issued by most automotive manufacturers and by manufacturers of agricultural and industrial vehicles.
Yes, we have a specific case study on automotive sensors, in which we develop custom diagnostic systems using LabVIEW and NI CompactRIO hardware to monitor functionality during environmental stress testing.
It ensures that test data are recognized by the Ministries of Transportation for the official type approval of the component, a crucial step in the marketing of electrical and electronic technical units for vehicles.
